Terror as in, the terror of the French Revolution. That sort. Comptes rendus hebdomadaires des séances de l’Académie des Sciences has been published, more or less, since 1666. The version in the Lost Signals archives is missing pages 66, 166, 266, and 366, a fact that had gone undetected until we began scanning and preparing its pages for digitization. When were the pages removed, and by whom, and why does their absence suggest a looming terror?
